New GM CEO to receive 9M in Compensation

General Motors has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission outlining the total compensation schedule for Dan Akerson, GM's latest CEO, which calls for a total of $9 million to be paid in various forms over the next three years.

General Motors repays TARP loan in full

The Treasury confirmed that GM had repaid in full the $4.7 billion balance it owed under the government's Trouble Asset Relief Program, five years before the loan maturity date and ahead of an accelerated repayment schedule set last year.
